Protigon began in September 2024 as an ambitious, cross-curricular project built on creativity, innovation and technical precision. Our task was clear yet demanding: design a new building for the former school swimming pool site — a space rich with history and familiarity — and transform it into something purposeful, modern and architecturally sensitive. The building needed to blend seamlessly with its surroundings while still feeling distinctive and forward-thinking. With a structured brief to guide us but enough creative freedom to explore bold ideas, we set out to produce something that felt considered, cohesive and impactful.

From the very beginning, the standard was high — and so was the ambition. In Art, the video presentation became the heartbeat of the project. This is where Protigon found its voice and identity.
Noah didn’t simply appear in the video — he defined it. As the face of the project, he brought confidence, composure and screen presence that elevated everything around him. His natural charisma in front of the camera gave the concept credibility and polish, turning what could have been a standard presentation into something engaging and memorable.

Equally essential to our journey was Corin, whose energy, creativity and unwavering dedication shaped the project in profound ways. Corin’s vibes were infectious — encouraging collaboration, boosting morale, and pushing everyone to contribute their best. Behind the scenes, he devoted immense effort to refining ideas, problem-solving challenges, and ensuring every detail aligned with the overall vision. His insight and initiative acted as a catalyst, inspiring the team to experiment, take risks, and elevate the quality of our work at every stage. Corin didn’t just participate — he amplified the project, leaving a mark on Protigon that went far beyond his individual contributions.

Behind the scenes, Sam directed with determination and precision, carefully planning shots, refining angles and ensuring every frame served a purpose. The editing process was meticulous, weaving together visuals, pacing and tone to create a final product that felt seamless and intentional. Valuable advice and creative guidance from Theodore and Mrs Kavanagh in Art helped refine our storytelling and raise the overall quality of the production. You can watch the video presentation here, or on YouTube.

In Design & Technology, our ideas moved from concept to construction. Developing the physical model required accuracy, patience and a deeper understanding of architectural form, structure and proportion. The model became proof that our ideas could exist in three dimensions, balancing practicality with aesthetic ambition. Mrs Hatrapal also aided our efforts by allowing us many site visits to get a grasp for the area and imagine our ideas in the space.

In Computer Science, we strengthened the technical foundation of the project. Learning Photoshop allowed us to enhance our visuals and present our concept with greater clarity and professionalism. We also built this website from the ground up, applying coding skills to create a clean, structured and purposeful platform. With advice and inspiration from Mr Donovan, we refined both the design and functionality of our digital presentation.

What began as a brief in September 2024 has culminated in a fully realised concept — supported by a strong visual identity, a carefully constructed model and a professionally developed website. Protigon represents collaboration, growth, confidence and the drive to turn an idea into something complete and impactful.
